Brush Timer

Brush Timer

Once your child’s teeth first appear, start brushing them with water. When they reach the age of 3 start allowing them to brush their own teeth with your supervision. This is to make sure that only a pea-sized amount of toothpaste is applied. At 6, your child should no longer need parental supervision. Teach your child about brushing up to 30 seconds in each of the quadrants. Help them to learn about brushing each of the sides of a tooth(front, back, sides, top), every part needs to be extra clean!

Set a timer for your kids for 2 minutes. At first a timer may seem a little much, but over time they will become used to the routine of brushing and the process of cleaning properly.
